This workshop is created primarily for novices to movement and yoga, although more advanced students will also benefit from the alignment-based approach and focus on core poses. It is designed to provide hope and relief for those participating, while teaching ancient and practical ways to tend to the body with compassion. These three sessions will connect participants to yoga poses that foster self care practices for therapists, those in helping professions, and others interested in increasing their ability to care deeply for themselves. Medical and clinical research consistently recognizes that movement practices have the capacity to allow people to access and release distress from their lives and unleash their full potential.
Each yoga session will be around an hour and a half, followed by a short break and debrief. Wear comfortable clothes, bring some water, a yoga mat, two beach towels, and join Krista at the Wellness Collective May 3, 10, 17th, from 9-11 am.
If you have a physical or other limitation and would like to discuss how Krista can best work with you to accommodate your participation in the workshops, please arrive fifteen minutes before the first session for a consultation.
